Sample agreement

The terms, in full,
before you ask for them.

This is the standard maintenance agreement, published so you can read it without having to request it from anyone.

These are the terms that apply to every Safewater maintenance agreement. Your own copy is this same document with your details filled in: your service day, your rate, the type of service, and your contact information.

If something here doesn't fit your situation, say so before you sign. We would rather have that conversation up front than have you agree to something you're not comfortable with. Questions to 858.375.8881 or lars@safewaterpoolcare.com.

02

Service Frequency

Monthly rates are based on 4 weekly service stops per month, totalling 48 service stops per year.

When a month has 5 service weeks, that extra visit is provided at no additional charge. In exchange, no credit is given for the weeks of Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's, when we are closed for the holidays. Over a year those two balance out.

03

Service Days

You and Safewater Pool Care agree on a set day of the week for service. If an emergency prevents us from servicing on the regular day, we will contact you to reschedule.

04

Property Access

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the technician has access to the property on the scheduled service day. If the technician cannot access the property, the standard charge for that visit applies and it is not rescheduled.

That clause exists because a route is built around a fixed day. A locked gate means a technician has driven to your house, spent the time, and left without being able to do the work. It is not a penalty, and we are not rigid about it: if you know access will be a problem on a particular week, tell us beforehand and we will work around it.

05

Rain Days and Holidays

If it is raining on your regular service day, the pool receives rain service: baskets emptied, water tested and balanced, and equipment inspected.

If your service day falls on a holiday, we will arrange another day that same week. Alternatively the visit can be treated as a rain service, a quicker stop covering the essentials, so we are in and out of the backyard before any gathering begins.

06

Repairs

Equipment is inspected at every service stop. Anything we find is noted and reported to you. Repairs are not included in the monthly service charge and are billed separately.

07

Filters

Filters need to be taken apart and cleaned every 6 months. Filter cleaning is not included in the monthly service charge and is billed separately.

08

Water Levels

Maintaining the correct water level in the pool is the customer's responsibility.

09

Pool Covers

Please remove pool covers before your regular service day.

10

Animals

Safewater Pool Care is an animal friendly company and welcomes friendly pets in the yard during service. Where a technician judges a dog to be a safety concern, we will raise it with you directly.

On service days you receive a text when the technician is on the way, which is there to give you time to secure those dogs. If a dog of concern is loose when the technician arrives, they will try to reach you. If they cannot, they will not enter the property, the standard charge for that visit applies, and it is not rescheduled. Homeowners are responsible for any incident involving an animal left unsecured during service.

Our technicians work with their hands full and their backs turned, carrying chemicals through a gate they have just opened. A dog that is perfectly fine with you is not necessarily fine with a stranger in the yard. The advance text is the part that makes this a non-issue for almost everyone.

11

Billing

Monthly charges are due by the 15th of each month. You will be given 30 days advance written notice of any rate increase.

12

Right to Cancel

This agreement may be cancelled by either party at any time. Written notice is preferred. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.

Questions about any of it?

Ask before you sign, not after.

Nothing above is meant to be a surprise. If a clause reads oddly for your pool or your property, tell us and we'll talk it through.
